Claudia G. Green, PhD has not only academic credentials but industry experience in the field of sustainability in hospitality and tourism. She has been teaching at the Center since 2001 and has taught courses in sustainability and technology. She earned her doctorate degree from Virginia Tech in 1992. She was an restaurant entrepreneur, tourism/restaurant consultant and was recently awarded a Fulbright for her work on sustainability and tourism in Brazil with an emphasis on the upcoming Rio2016 Olympics. She has had sustainability projects in Italy, Brazil and in New York City. She has been invited speaker at conferences in Italy, Spain, Portugal, Brazil, Hong Kong and more.
