Expertise in nursing care of adults in critical care settings, massive blood transfusion
and resuscitation, neurology and neurosurgery, transition to practice, and
mentorship.

I am a MSN prepared critical care certified RN with over ten of experience, most of
which is in adult medical, surgical, and neurosurgical intensive care. I pride myself on
being a compassionate and caring person who enjoys providing excellent care to my
patients while working to improve the quality of life in my community.
My community service began in June of 2001, when I joined the Pleasantville Fire
Department. It was my privilege to be a part of this amazing organization for 20
years- contributing to both local and regional disasters from the terrorist attacks on
Sept. 11, 2001 to the blackout of 2003 to Superstorm Sandy. During my tenure on the
officers staff, I spearheaded many capital projects, including the purchase of custom
apparatus, installation of exhaust management systems, modernization of turnout
gear, and overhaul of the annual medical program.
Teaching student nurses has been a passionate endeavor which began with tutoring
peers, led into simulation technician and lab support roles, and eventually as a
Clinical Adjunct Faculty and Nurse Preceptor. I co-founded a Graduate Nurse
Mentoring Program at my hospital to support new nurses transition into practice.
After working at the bedside throughout the entire Covid-19 pandemic, I stepped into
a full-time position as Simulation Educator for undergraduate nursing at Pace
University in 2022.
